Hey! I’m Steve, the founder of WP Confidence. I’m a self-taught web developer with over 15 years experience.
I’m an entrepreneur, first and foremost, and I found web design and development by accident.
It all started when I purchased an eCommerce website from eBay for around £50 to sell my own products. However, I didn’t like the design and couldn’t affort a designer. So, I bought a dummies book on building websites and started learning from scratch.
YouTube was barely a thing back then, so the only way I could learn was through books and written tutorials. I eventually took an online course taught by Gary Simon, which vastly improved my skills.
After serving customers for around 10 years, I got super interested in marketing and SEO. I switched gears and started making money online building niche websites and launched a blog where I could document my journey.
When I first started Coffee Shop Blogger, I didn’t really know what I was doing and wasn’t sure what I would end up teaching.
Fast forward to today and I’ve rekindled my passion for WordPress design and development.
That’s why I created WP Confidence.
Furthermore, I’ve recently started to learn other programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP, and Python.
I’m hoping that one day I’ll be able to launch my own WordPress plugin that incorporates artifical intelligence.
